Taylor Wimpey has raised £3,000 for The Sick Children’s Trust! The Yorkshire branch held their annual May Ball which raised an incredible £3,000 for the charity. Staff at the branch attended the annual ball held yearly for their charity of the year. At the start of the year, the firm announced The Sick Children’s Trust as their charity for 2017. The ball forms one of many charity initiatives Taylor Wimpey are planning across the year, which are yet to be revealed.
The charity began back in 1982 by two paediatric experts who believed in having parents close by as children undergo hospital treatment. The money raised will go towards funding the charity’s “Home from Home” accommodation. This will allow families with sick children to stay nearby in purpose built property, making an incredible difference to their day to day lives. As a home builder themselves, Taylor Wimpey realised the charity was an obvious choice for them to support.
