Last Monday 16th April, thousands of business owners spent a whole night under the stars for the homeless. Glynis Frew, CEO of Hunters was one of the kind people who took on the challenging task of sleeping outdoors with just a sleeping bag. She was joined by thousands of other CEO’s at York Racecourse for the CEO Sleepout who’s ambition was to fight poverty and tackle homelessness. Other CEO’s included Steve Brown, CEO of Made It York, Chris Bateman, CEO of St Johns University in York and Helen Ewing, CEO of Response Marketing.
As well as struggling with the cold, lack of sleep and hunger, Glynis was raising money for Changing Lives, a charity dedicated to providing support to vulnerable people and families facing poverty. As well as this, Oaktrees York provides support for people with drugs and alcohol addiction. Changing Lives support a 12 week programme at Oaktrees in York. Glynis and all the team at Hunters have successfully raised an incredible £2,377 for Changing Lives! Congratulations to Glynis and all the Hunters team from everyone at Good Property News!
