Amazing property news! RM English, Sales Negotiator, Eddy Clarkson has incredibly completed a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile cycle ride and a marathon. Incredibly, he’s been through seven months of treatment for leukaemia!
After being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia at the age of 21 and undergoing seven months of continuous treatment, forcing him to lose 25kg of weight, he was determined to get his fitness back on track. He decided to take on the Ironman challenge, whilst raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, the charity which saved his life. Eddy ran a marathon back in May but decided to challenge himself further and take on the well-known Ironman charity event.
Teenage Cancer Trust helps support young people aged 13 to 24 who’ve been diagnosed with cancer. By providing world-class services and life-changing care they’re there so young people don’t have to face cancer alone, just as they were for Eddy. He hopes to raise £10,000 for the charity who cared for him throughout his treatment, £8,000 of this target has already been raised, whilst commit the next seven months to them, after they cared for him. He’s named his fundraising campaign, chemo 2 cardio and continues to write about his achievements on his very own blog! If you’d like to donate to Eddy and Teenage Cancer Trust please click here!
