Luton based letting agency, MyLetz are supporting their local Luton and Dunstable University Hospital. Staff at MyLetz and the hospital have joined together to raise funds for a new children’s cancer unit on the hospital site. Both the letting agency and the hospital are sponsoring and taking part in various charity events and nights out in order to raise the vital funds needed.
Last week, the team at MyLetz attended a race night with the hospital staff in a luxury marquee on the hospital grounds. Attendees paid £5 to attend, whilst each horse could be purchased for £1. A raffle was also held during the night whilst hot food was available. The race night successfully raised an incredible £1,500, going towards the development of a new children’s cancer unit. As well as this, at the start of the July, MyLetz sponsored the Sacred Heart Primary School fete. Donations for the hospital were collected on the day, whilst staff member, Richie provided the music on the DJ stand!
The hospital itself provides specialist care to over 370,000 people across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. The Luton and Dunstable Charitable Fund supports the work of the hospital by providing them with a fund for additional equipment and vital resources such as the children’s cancer unit they hope to build.
