Philip Goodyer, Letting Agent at David Burr has raised an incredible £700 for Upbeat, a heart support group. Phillip and Jacqui Goodyer’s dance group “Dance With Us Suffolk” helped organise the Masquerade Big Band Dance on Saturday 29th December 2018 which resulted in raising an amazing £700. The Big Band Dance featured all sorts of swing bands including the big band “Swing Machine” whilst DJ Phantom Steve of Mayfair Music covered the intervals whilst the charity dance continued all night with all sorts of swinging music. As well as the dancing, Hilary Neeves, Secretary at heart charity Upbeat was able to attend the event.

This “Big Band Dance” wasn’t the first time Phillip’s organisation, Dance With Us Suffolk have organised a charity dance. Previously, they’ve organised several Mid Summer Big Band Dance events which raised a incredible amount for Upbeat. Every Wednesday, Dance With Us Suffolk organise a Tea Dance too with tea and biscuits and a free raffle. In June this year, they’re planning to leave the dancing for a while and organise a Sudbury 1940’s Vintage day filled with all sorts of vintage cars and stalls filled with all sorts of vintage items.
