David Lee Estate Agent, Shaun Whiter has cycled 150 miles across Suffolk, months after a horrific accident meant losing both of his legs. Shaun teamed up with his cousin and work colleague, Lee O’Brien, Director of David Lee to complete the cycling tour. Shaun took on the 150 mile tour across Suffolk on a specially designed hand bike raising an incredible £3,885 for the EAAA (East Anglian Air Ambulance), the charity which saved Shaun’s life. He wasn’t alone either after 100 people joined him including Ipswich Town football legends, the team of who he supports.

Shaun suffered the accident after going out to help friend Joey change his flat tyre. Both, who were wearing high visibility jackets, were hit from behind trapping them between both cars before the driver left the scene leaving them to die. If it wasn’t for the East Anglian Air Ambulance rushing them to hospital for emergency surgery, Shaun and Joey wouldn’t be alive today.

His next ambition is to walk down the aisle at his wedding, a promise he set after waking up in hospital. Shaun’s even talking about competing in the 2020 Paralympics!
