The team at Gibbins Richards Sales and Lettings decided to take part in their local charity boules tournament. The event welcomed 40 teams from 40 local businesses in the Taunton region to compete against each other in a charity boules competition, all to raise the vital funds needed for Prostate Cancer. Gibbins Richards successfully got through to the semi-finals before being knocked out by what Gibbins Richards called a “much better and practiced team”. As well as the Boules, a fancy dress competition was also organised for each individual team. Gibbins Richards were awarded first place for best costume after coming as the Tour De France, dressed in onions and cycle helmets!

The day itself was organised by local housing firm, Summerfield Developments who invited businesses including Gibbins Richards to take part. The day itself raised an incredible £3,000 for the Somerset Prostate Support Association. The money raised will go towards funding a specific antigen testing session for Prostate Cancer in Taunton’s St James Church Hall on Saturday 20th October 2018 between 12 and 4pm. If you’d like to attend please call 01458-441669 or alternatively email hopwoodclan@yahoo.co.uk. The overall winner was Accountants, Moore Scarrott. Congrats to Gibbins Richards and everyone who took part in the fundraising day!
